Appeared on "PRL" Our paper entitled "Direct observation of anisotropic inter-particle forces in nematic colloids with optical tweezers" was appeared on "Physical Review Letters" issued at May. 7, 2004. In this work, interparticle forces in a nematic liquid-crystal colloid have been directly observed by the dual beam laser trapping method with pN sensitivity. |

Appeard on "Nature Materials" Our paper entitled "Coherent collective precession of molecular rotors with chiral propellers" was appeared on "Nature Materials" issued at Dec. 1, 2003. Here we show that a chiral liquid-crystalline monolayer spread on a glycerol surface acts as a condensed layer of molecular rotors, which undergo a coherent molecular precession driven by the transmembrane transfer of water molecules. |

Appered on "Nature" Our work entitled "Tristable namatic liquid crystal device using micropatterned surface alignment" was appered on "Nature" issued at Nov. 14, 2002. In this article, we report the first tri-stable surface alignment of nematic liquid crystals tailored by using the symmetry approach of the surface alignment. Please refer more detailes about this work to here. |
