		2004 Project workshop on "Light"-"Liquid Crystal" (21 Feb., 2004) Workshop on "Photonic Effects in Anisotropic Soft MatterFFrontier of "Light" - "Liquid Crystal" Interactions" was successfully held under our project organaizations. Thank you for coorperations.
		2003 JLCS Award Our paper on "Nature" was awarded the 2003 JLCS award at the JLCS meeting in Aomori. Dr. Jong-Hyun Kim, Dr. Makoto Yoneya and Dr. Hiroshi Yokoyama have recieved this award as the authors.
		2002 JLCS Award Project leader Dr. Hiroshi Yokoyama has received the 2002 JLCS award at the JLCS meeting in Nara. Dr. Jun-ichi Fukuda and Dr. Takahiro Yamamoto have also been awarded at the same meeting.
